JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Academy of Motion Picture Art and Sciences telah merilis daftar pendek untuk 10 kategori untuk Academy Awards ke-94 atau Oscar 2022.
Salah satunya adalah kategori The International Features Film Awards yang berisi sinema-sinema terbaik dari berbagai negara.
Indonesia sendiri mengajukan film Yuni dalam kategori ini. Hal itu sebagaimana keputusan Komite Seleksi Oscar Indonesia 2021.
"Kami menetapkan film berjudul Yuni sebagai film pilihan dan berhak mewakili Indonesia di ajang Academy Awards 2022," ujar Hanung Bramantyo, Ketua Komite Seleksi Oscar Indonesia 2021 beberapa waktu lalu.

Melansir Oscar.org, panitia Academy Awards ke-94 memilih 15 film untuk kategori The International Features Film Awards.
Daftar 15 film tersebut nantinya akan kembali masuk dalam putaran seleksi berikutnya.
"Lima belas film akan maju ke putaran pemungutan suara berikutnya dalam kategori Film Fitur Internasional untuk Academy Awards ke-94. Film dari 92 negara memenuhi syarat dalam kategori tersebut," bunyi keterangan Oscar.
Sayangnya, Yuni dari Indonesia tidak tercantum dalam daftar 15 film kategori tersebut.
Film-film tersebut dipilih berdasarkan pemungutan suara yang dilakukan anggota Academy dari semua cabang dengan syarat harus menonton filmnya minimal durasi yang ditentukan.

Pemungutan suara untuk nominasi final akan berlangsung pada 27 Januari 2022 dan ditutup 1 Februari 2022.
Sementara pengumuman nominasi untuk Academy Awards ke-94 atau Oscar 2022 akan dilaksanakan 8 Februari 2022.
