Ratu Elizabeth II Berpulang, Manchester United Kibarkan Bendera Setengah Tiang
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Manchester United ikut berbela sungkawa dengan berpulangnya Ratu Elizabeth II pada Kamis (8/9/2022).
Dilansir dari The Guardian, Ratu Elizabeth II, pemimpin terlama dalam sejarah Inggris, meninggal dunia pada usia 96 tahun.
Dengan berpulangnya Ratu Elizabeth, Pangeran Charles yang merupakan pewaris takhta sejak usia tiga tahun, sekarang menjadi raja, dan Duchess of Cornwall sekarang menjadi Permaisuri.
Dalam sebuah pernyataan, Istana Buckingham mengatakan, “Sang Ratu meninggal dengan tenang di Balmoral sore ini. Raja dan Permaisuri akan tetap berada di Balmoral malam ini dan akan kembali ke London besok.”
Kabar meninggalnya Ratu Elizabeth II membuat sejumlah pihak berduka, tak terkecuali dari dunia sepak bola.
Premier League ikut berbela sungkawa dengan menuliskan ucapan mereka melalui akun Twitter resmi @PremierLeague.

Sementara itu Manchester United yang akan menghadapi Real Sociedad di laga Liga Europa pada Kamis (8/9/2022) atau Jumat dini hari juga mengeluarkan pernyataan dengan berpulangnya Ratu Elizabeth II.
